What to Expect

What to Expect

Reaching out to a new care provider can feel like a big step. Here's what the journey with ICO typically looks like, from your first call to a settled routine.

1. Your First Call or Inquiry
Every inquiry is answered within one business day by a real person on our coordination team — no automated runaround. We'll talk through your situation, answer initial questions, and explain next steps.

2. Connecting with Your Regional Center
If you're not already working with a Regional Center service coordinator, we'll help you understand that relationship, since most of our services are accessed through a Regional Center referral.

3. Tour & Assessment
You and your family are invited to visit the ICON day program site or the Pasa Alta Manor home, meet our team, and see the environment firsthand. We'll also complete an assessment to understand support needs.

4. Person-Centered Planning
Together with the individual, their family, and their Regional Center coordinator, we build a plan centered on real goals — independence, communication, community involvement, and wellbeing.

5. Welcome & Onboarding

From day one, our team focuses on making the transition comfortable: introductions to staff and peers, a walkthrough of daily routines, and open channels for questions.

6. Ongoing Communication
Care doesn't stop at enrollment. Families and Regional Center coordinators can expect regular updates and periodic plan reviews to make sure the program continues to fit.

What Makes ICO Different

Person-centered and culture-first — plans are built around the individual, not a one-size-fits-all program.
Active integration with local Regional Centers — we work as a true partner, not just a vendor.
30+ years of combined behavioral expertise across our team.
